Brian Shields is a co-founder and CEO of Neurent Medical. Neurent Medical is commercial stage medical device company dedicated to developing highly innovative non-surgical interventions that treat chronic inflammatory Sino-Nasal diseases. The privately held, venture backed company is based in Galway Ireland. Prior to leading the formation of Neurent Medical as a University spinout in 2017, Brian completed the BioInnovate Ireland fellowship programme in the University of Galway. Brian entered this programme from a successful career as a management consultant, much of which was spent on the design and commercial rollout of connected health clinical programmes in public and private European health systems and “around the pill” services for the pharmaceutical industry. Brian has a PhD in Applied Computing and an MBA.
