As Vice President of Research and Development for Medtronic’s Coronary and Renal Denervation Operating Unit, John MacNamara leads a global R&D team that drives innovative new product development for the treatment of patients worldwide impacted by coronary artery disease and hypertension. He has responsibility for R&D Centers in California & Minneapolis in the US and in Galway, Ireland. He joined Medtronic as part of the acquisition of AVE in 1999 and since then has continually been involved in product development leading multiple R&D programs and holding various leadership roles. John is currently the advisory board chair for BioInnovate Ireland.
